ZECHARIAH lesson 6

Can you think of something in your personal history that, if told to another person, would help them understand you better–why you make certain choices, react to things in particular ways, desire to be seen in specific ways?  If you think about it, the more someone knows our story, the more they know us. It’s why story is so important to all human beings. But story is also important to God–to us knowing God in deeper ways. History is God’s story. Yes, the physical, tangible history of the human race reveals to us God’s actions and desires. So….as we approach Zechariah chapters 9-11, we’ll be learning a history lesson, and it will illuminate the awesome sovereignty of our King.
