ROMANS II Lesson 8
It is often bittersweet to come to the end of a study. Bitter, because we’ve come to view the book and its author as a friend. And sweet, because we have persevered and actually made it through with valuable transformative experiences. This is especially true of our study of Romans. I believe Paul has not only enlightened us to the greater depth and breadth of the Gospel, but he has also revealed himself to us in ways that may make us want to reach out and hug him, thank him for his compassion and love of the Church. Of course, more than anything, Paul has brought our attention to the unfathomable faithfulness of our great and wise God.
This last chapter, chapter 16,, while it lends itself to a much shorter teaching lesson, is, in typical Pauline style, a masterpiece of a summary. Let’s enter Paul’s world one more time, as he teaches us what is true about our own times.
