ROMANS I Lesson 1

Have you ever had to be reminded of a commitment? Perhaps you promised a friend you’d meet them for coffee next week, or you’ve signed up for a class that meets every other week, or even a dentist appointment made six months ago. One of my favorite things about my iPhone is that I can put these commitments into it and the iPhone will remind me…not just at the time of the commitment, but even before that it sends me a message about my upcoming appointment. As we begin Romans we should recognize that Paul is acting like my iPhone, reminding his hearers, then and now, of the full commitment we’ve made in and through our receiving of the Gospel.
