PSALMS lesson 7
Can you remember something you were afraid of as a small child? Perhaps you were afraid of the dark or of being alone in the house or of monsters under your bed. Chances are that that same fear no longer plagues you. You’ve learned, through experience, that those fears were mostly unfounded. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you don’t have fears now. Fears are common to all of us, yet we are reluctant to name them, to expose places of weakness in ourselves. The journey of exposing and re-shaping our fear into a positive emotion is the business of the Trust Psalms. As we explore Psalm 16 and 73 we’ll discover such journeys of David and Asaph, and the joy they found in taking the trip.
