RefreshingEDEN making all things new

Have you ever tried to explain how to do something – use a new computer program, swing a golf club, dress stylishly – to someone who apparently felt they already knew how to do it and was listening to you with external courtesy, but inwardly saying “yeah, yeah, just get out of the way so I can do it my way” ? That’s pretty much what Jesus is dealing with as he talks in parables. And lest we think that we are NOT that person, using parables will test that notion. If you’re not poked with these parables, if you don’t flinch, then just maybe there is a resistance you aren’t recognizing. Maybe.
