RefreshingEDEN making all things new

Blessings. That’s not a salutation. It’s a statement. A fact. An announcement. I believe we all strive to get as many blessings as possible in our life. And yet, as always, Jesus shows us that blessings aren’t acquired by our effort. They aren’t rewards for our humility or right conduct. In truth, it would be so much easier if it were. Kinda. Because in the kingdom of heaven blessings are gifted to only those who are without means to get anything on their own. Those who have been broken by life. Aaargh. That brokenness again. But also, that gift again. Oh, the ways of God continue to be radical, paradoxical mysteries. Such a blessing!
