Have you ever taken the time to list the expectations you have for other people? It can be a very enlightening, albeit discouraging exercise, especially to realize how like the Pharisees we are in putting people in bondage to our own standards. The Kingdom works in a totally different way, as we have seen throughout Matthew, than the boxes of exclusion that the religious work with. The challenge for us is to see how we work. Inclusion or exclusion, wedding feast or trapping feast. Will we wrestle with it?
