JONAH lesson 2b

How do we balance justice with mercy? It’s a question that usually depends on how you see the world. In the last chapter of Jonah, God allows Jonah to declare what he thinks is a good system, despite what God has been telling him. It’s amazing how patient God is with Jonah’s insistence that his view of the world is good. But that’s part of hesed too — an incredible patience, waiting till we come under right authority. Are you able to see any of Jonah in yourself? May we be daily grateful for the hesed that falls on us each day.
