HEBREWS lesson 3

What goes through your mind when you enter your local and very familiar grocery store only to find it completely rearranged? It seems a pretty common response that we wonder, with just a little exasperation, why “they” would go and do that when we already know where everything is and can do the weekly shopping in 50 minutes flat. But did you ever look at it as an exciting adventure? You just may find some new, favorite item that you never even knew existed! And actually, that is the purpose of the arrangement. We all get comfortable with life a certain way and hope to get through it – grocery shopping, school, job, life – as efficiently as possible. Yet the store wants to offer you new possibilities, in somewhat the same way God does. Yes, the store wants to make more money, but God’s purpose is to have more of your life lived with Him. It seems Scripture is always inviting us to shift paradigms, and Hebrews is no different.
