*HEBREWS II lesson 11

Have you had the experience lately of having someone do a job for you — a small task like sweeping the floor, wiping down the counter, or even a bigger project like painting the bedroom — only to find the job finished and feeling like you would need to re-do it personally? What exactly was it that made it necessary for you to do the job over again? When it comes down to it the only answer can be that it hadn’t been done “right”, somehow missing a certain standard. And thus because the job done was ineffective we find we must do something to make it right. This week’s lesson examines the more perfect sacrifice of Jesus. Surely, though, we would never consider Jesus’ job done on sin as ineffective, something we have to re-do, could we? Or do we?
