EZRA lesson 2

When you think of worship what comes to mind? Unfortunately, our most common picture is one of singing in church. Of course, most of us understand that as an insufficient picture, yet we persist in feeling that worship must somehow feel “spiritual.” As we watch from afar the returned Judahites rebuilding the temple in Ezra 3-6, we do get the sense that their rebuilding is some form of worship. If it is, then it confronts us with a curious question–can our building of a temple be worship? The answer has widespread implications for all of life.
