EXODUS lesson 7
Have you ever tried to get someone to understand what it was like to parasail? Or maybe try to explain standing in front of the original of your favorite painting – Monet’s Waterlilies perhaps? Words just don’t do either of these justice. That’s because they are meant to be experienced rather than explained. Living in God’s kingdom is like that. We tend to think we can just live by the explanation of what it’s like, the “rules” that ‘get us in’. Problem is that it doesn’t work that way. We do and do and do but never experience the rest and shalom of the kingdom. And we wonder if this is all there is. Good news is that there’s more, much more. So God trains us in learning just what we need to experience the kingdom. And when we receive that training, it’s amazing what our eyes can see. Eden is not all that far off.
