EXODUS lesson 2
Have you ever thought about what starts a friendship? Our first inclination may be to answer “common interests” or “common background”, and yes, that may well be what bonds you. But, how did you find out you had common interests? Was it not through conversation? A time when at least one of you paid attention to what the other was saying and found it intriguing or sparking a memory of your own. It is through conversation that we not only develop relationships, but maintain them. And listening, really listening, is the key to conversations that bond two hearts together. It doesn’t mean you’ll always understand each other, or always agree, but remaining in the conversation of friendship will certainly stretch your own spirit and bring a fullness of experiences to life that you would not otherwise have had.
Our man Moses goes through this very process with God and it makes all the difference.
