ESTHER lesson 2
It isn’t hard to see that the character of Haman in the book of Esther is re-defining authority as originally given by God. The trouble is, as readers, we know he’s the “bad guy” so we skip over him with no intention of looking at his methods. Perhaps, though, it might be very informative if we take a longer look. Who knows? We might even see a bit of ourselves in Haman. And thanks be to God, there’s always an invitation to return to the Authority, even in exile.
