How in the world did the book of Esther ever make it into the Biblical canon? It has absolutely no mention of God and takes place not only outside of the Promised land but in the pagan kingdom of Persia. The very fact that it is embedded within the canon of God’s very words actually gives us a clue, but we’ll have to submit ourselves to receiving the unique feedback He’s giving, as did Esther and the rest of her countrymen. And that submission is always going to be part of the message!
