COVENANT Lecture 8

Have you ever read a book and then seen the movie made from that book? Most often we are disappointed. The movie doesn’t portray the picture we had in our head when we read it. But what if after reading a book you saw the play? The story literally comes to life. Even if it isn’t how you pictured it, you become enraptured. There are some parallels with God’s story when He first revealed it to His people. Each telling, through the phases of covenant, become a little more vivid, but sometimes a little disorienting. But there comes a point in the telling where the story comes to life, literally, and we are caught up in it. This week’s lesson focuses on following the increasingly vivid telling of God’s story to its conclusion…and beyond.
