COVENANT lecture 10

Do you have a favorite photograph? Most of us do and nine times out of ten it will be a picture of loved ones. Yet even if it is of an event or a beautiful landscape we viewed, it is still only a snapshot of a moment of our life. It is not actually the real thing and it does not allow us to participate in the event or with those people. It is merely a reminder. This same comparison can be made between the Old Covenant (Sinai/Mosaic) and the New Covenant. One is a snapshot, the other participation. And as we examine with whom it is we participate in the New Covenant, we discover a mediator that is better…..better than all the mediators of all the covenant phases. This week we hone in on all that this better mediator did to allow us to go beyond the picture into a continual experience of the perichoretic union.
