2 TIMOTHY lesson 9

How many times have you used a butter knife for a screwdriver?  Or a broom handle to reach something in a high cabinet?  Does it ever occur to us that a screwdriver works better as a screwdriver…a butter knife for slicing butter…a step stool for reaching something? And what about our own selves?  Were we made to do everything we do? And what exactly is it we were made to do? We’ve talked a lot about this in 2 Timothy and yet we still are confounded by God’s process of making us into the one thing we really are. God’s idea for us really does work better for us. And, of course, who we are is inexorably connected to the Gospel. Let’s dig into that.
