ROMANS II Lesson 2

Have you ever been given a great responsibility that was also a great honor? Perhaps someone has entrusted you with the care of their newborn, or named you as guardians of their children if anything were to happen to them. These certainly constitute a different type of honor from being named the “most popular kid in high school,” or having your first novel make it to the best-seller list. It’s hard to put into words, but there is a weightiness, a gravity with the first type of honor that causes the second type to pale in comparison. In Romans 10, Paul wants to talk about those subjects and pull from us a deeper appreciation for the salvation with which we’ve been gifted.
