ROMANS I Lesson 0

Welcome to the study of Romans! Beginning the study of a book is always exciting and a little intimidating. With the book of Romans the intimidation factor is multiplied. It is both a book of immense importance for the Church and immensely complicated. And I do not feel adequate for the task. But Paul reminds us in this letter that the source of the power that flows through our unique expression of giftings is the Spirit of God Himself. That alone excites me and assures me that He will lead us through this journey. And as we explore the background of Romans this week, I think you’ll agree with me that the book of Romans is so timely for the issues the Church faces today.
