LEVITICUS lesson 5
Have you ever had such a great vacation, such an extraordinary time experiencing a place that you long for others to experience the same thing? And you come home just bubbling over with all you saw and felt, unable to contain the excitement and you find out that someone is planning a trip to the same place? Isn’t your basest instinct to impart all sorts of recommendations as to just exactly where to go and what to eat, perhaps even exclaiming “You have to do such and such!” It comes out as a command in the best of senses because you don’t want them to miss a thing. Funny, but God feels the same way. “I have the coolest life for you to experience! You have to try holiness. It’s awesome!” And THAT is what is behind the holiness laws in Leviticus.
