JAMES lesson 9

Where do you usually like to sit when you enter a classroom, or theater or church? Most of us have a preferable location that we gravitate toward habitually. But when we’re forced to take a different seat than our normal preference we almost always gain a new and different perspective. Perhaps you’ve never noticed that in a different seat the sun shines brighter or the acoustics sound different or even that you are less (or more) distracted. James wants us to know that gaining God’s perspective in our life will take initiative and practice, but also will necessarily include involvement in community.
