JAMES lesson 5
What is the first thing you notice when you walk into a different church other than your own? Is it the people, their dress, the way the room is situated or constructed? Whatever it is, we have a tendency to pay attention to certain things for certain reasons. We’re looking for ways to have some question or concern or desire answered. Will I be welcome here? Will they teach from a familiar viewpoint? Will I be comfortable? Paying attention to some things is important, but we also must pay attention to why we’re paying attention to those things. James closes out chapter 1 by pointing out the things that need our attention as well as why they need our attention. Not surprisingly, it all has to do with integration-the process of becoming whole.
