*HEBREWS II lesson 18
What happens when someone asks or expects you to do something that is more than you are capable of doing? The feeling of resentment is what seems to creep in for just about everyone you ask. And the problem with resentment is that it does not stay inert, but grows until it begins to affect not just the people involved, but all the people you are close to. Yet this is exactly what we do when we expect people to behave in certain “Christian” ways – ways that indeed bring life – without making room to receive (or give) grace in our own life. The book of Hebrews emphasizes the grace offered us through Jesus Christ and the repercussions of receiving or rejecting that grace. And so our lesson on Hebrews 13:1-6.
