How well do you receive gifts? We are so attuned to be good givers, we rarely think about the effects of receiving. And yet, most of us know deep down that we aren’t very good at it. We want to earn what we get, pay for it somehow, deserve it, or at the very least, choose what we get. But, as we will see in today’s lesson of Ezra 7 & 8, it is the receiving act that actually enables us to be true and honest givers of what is good.
