EPHESIANS lesson 6
What activity did you regularly participate in as a family growing up? The activity common to most of us was dinner. It happened every night and for the most part it was just your family. Most of us realize this ritual wasn’t just intended to meet our nutritional needs. We could have done that alone. Or with different people each night. No, the essence of a family dinner is to create a place of bonding–carving out space and time to learn how to be in the world, while practicing in a safe place. No one considers this kind of ritual exclusionary, but instead a healthy way toward maturity. And so it is with the family of Christ.
